FRANCES HOUGHTON
MBE

I was the first British woman to be selected for five Olympic Games in rowing, and only the fifth woman in any sport to achieve this mark for Team GB. Over my 21 year career on the British Rowing Team I won 3 Olympic silver medals, 4 World Championship golds, and held two World records, all in different teams and under four different coaches.

I retired on the Olympic podium in Rio in 2016 having made history as a part of the first British Women’s Eight ever to win an Olympic medal.
